About Workbook Editor
We believe editing a spreadsheet should be as simple as opening a web page — no expensive software, no downloads, and no need to trust anyone with your files.
Workbook Editor started with a simple frustration: receiving an Excel file on a computer without Office installed, and being asked to upload private data to an unknown website just to read it.
So we built a tool where the entire spreadsheet workflow — opening, editing, converting, and exporting — happens locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is tracked, and the core tool stays free.
Today the editor supports formulas, conditional formatting, data validation, smart tables, hyperlinks, notes, images, and multi-file batch conversion, all built on the open-source Univer engine.
