Working with CSV files

Exchange data between ERP, CRM, banking, and other systems. Check and edit contact, product, and order import templates. Convert plain CSV data to XLSX when you need formulas and formatting.

Encoding is the number-one source of broken CSV files. Files exported from legacy systems are often saved in GBK, Shift-JIS, or other local encodings, and spreadsheet apps show garbled text when they guess wrong. This editor detects common encodings on import and always exports UTF-8 with a BOM, so Excel, WPS, and Google Sheets all display multilingual text correctly.

Delimiters vary by region: North America uses commas, many European locales export with semicolons, and TSV files use tabs. The editor auto-detects the delimiter on import; if the columns look wrong, re-import and check which separator was detected.

CSV stores plain text only — no formulas, styles, multiple sheets, or comments. When a CSV grows complex, convert it to .xlsx here, add formatting and formulas, and keep CSV only for system-to-system exchange.
